Sailor Galaxia Inspired Look! (Beauty Blogger Collaboration Pt 2)

Hey True Believers!

A group of beauty bloggers and myself were chatting via twitter a few weeks ago about the 20th anniversary of Sailor Moon and how much we loved the series. (and some of us were watching eps to relive it all!) And we all decided to do a group collaboration to celebrate it! We each picked a Sailor Scout/Senshi and a villain/villainess from the series to do EOTDs and FOTDs on!

This week is Sailor Moon Villain week! So I’ve chosen Sailor Galaxia to be my EOTD!

Sailor Pluto Inspired Look! (Beauty Blogger Collaboration Pt. 1)

Hey True Believers!

A group of beauty bloggers and myself were chatting via twitter a week or so ago about the 20th anniversary of Sailor Moon and how much we loved the series. (and some of us were watching eps to relive it all!) And we all decided to do a group collaboration to celebrate it! We each picked a Sailor Scout/Senshi and a villain/villainess from the series to do EOTDs and FOTDs on!

This week is Sailor Scout/Senshi week! So I’ve chosen Sailor Pluto to be my EOTD! I won’t tell you who I picked for next week so it will be a surprise!

I wanted a unique eye shape for this and I really love the work of Karolina aka Grzee Makeup Blog (she is SOOOO amazing!!!) and used her viva la catalunya eye shape as the inspiration for this! I changed the colors to suit Sailor Pluto’s costume and hair.

Check out the other’s looks!

Polaris Inspired Look (Ver. 1, Women of X-Factor Series Pt.2). Collaboration with artist Sara Richard!

Hey True Believers!

Polaris is the next gal in the Women of X-Factor series collaboration I’m doing with the amazing Sara Richard! Polaris/Lorna Dane is the other daughter of Magneto and has the same mutant power as him, Magnetism. Her hair is naturally green (and GORGEOUS!) and she’s pretty freaking awesome! I based this look off of her time as one of the members of the second X-Factor team (During a time when they had coordinating outfits that made them look more like a team unit). She’s had a few variations of her X-Factor outfits/uniforms, but I liked this one the best. (I’m a 90′s X-Men kind of gal! ;) )

As usual, this look was based on not the above photo exactly, but a combination of the character’s physical features, personality, costume, and powers.

With that being said,, here’s the look! Sara’s illustration of Polaris wearing the makeup I’ve created will follow my photos so make sure you go oo and aah over it (I TOTALLY DID! It’s FIERCE!)

Make sure you go to Makeupbee and like the photo! I’ve entered it in their contest with Sugarpill! Thank you!

I hope you enjoy!

Wolfsbane Inspired Look (Ver.1, Women of X-Factor Series Pt.1) Collaboration with Illamasqua and artist Sara Richard!

Hey True Believers!

So today, I bring you a look based off of Wolfsbane from her days in X-Factor (2nd team). She’s a mutant that turns into a wolf or wolf hybrids, Scottish, and very religious (more so when she was younger than she is now). There was a period where she was stuck in her half human, half wolf form and I really liked the way she looked (as it was the only time she could have long hair, otherwise, her hair doesn’t grow and stays pretty short/cropped to her head).

The wonderful people at Illamasqua were kind enough to send me some products to try out and review (the review will be in a separate post to keep this post moderately short) and I knew I wanted to do a Wolfsbane inspired look out of them. So this look consists mainly of the 7 products that were sent to me and the help of a few others that were bought and purchased with my own money with the exception of the lashes which were given to me by Sugarpill.

Around this time, my friend Sara Richard, who is an amazingly talented and wonderful artist/illustrator, contacted me about doing a collaboration. So I figured I’d combine the two into one post! She took the makeup I did on myself, and applied it to an illustration of Wolfsbane! It’s just simply gorgeous! We’ve decided we will DEFINITELY be doing more of these collaborations as this one came out so gorgeous! Her part of the collaboration is after my makeup photos!

(Note: After I had taken the initial close up eye photos, I decided to add some of Sugarpill’s Flamepoint to the brow to make them more auburn. So that is why the full face photos eyebrow color differs :) Also, my makeup on this blog are not based on the drawings of the characters. The drawings are a point of reference for folks who are unfamiliar with the characters. I base ALL my looks off of the character personality, powers, physical apperance, and costume (or some combination of the afore mentioned) )

I hope you all enjoy!

Elektra Inspired Look (Makeupbee/Lime Crime Collaboration)

I was contacted by Makeupbee,  I’m one of their past MakeupQueenBee’s, to do a collaboration with Lime Crime. Lime Crime in turn sent me 2 eyeshadows of my choice, a lipstick of my choice, and an eyeshadow primer. I was contacted by Lime Crime separately to try out all of their Carousel Lipglosses prior to being asked to do a collaboration with MakeupBee, so I will do a separate post on that later.

I have never used Lime Crime before and thought that this would be a good opportunity to test their product. My reviews on ANYTHING sent to me will always be based on my honest and truthful opinion. Good and bad. Regardless of rumors and gossip about ANY company, as long as their products aren’t tested on animals, I will try them out and form my own opinion as I think that’s a fair thing to do (for you as my readers, and for myself). I will not be addressing any gossip or rumor on my blog, as I feel it’s been done elsewhere in detail and I don’t feel the need to add to it. That’s not what my blog is about.

When I saw the loose eyeshadows in Diva and Siren, the first look that came to mind was Elektra! Her skin tone combined with her red ninja assassin outfit was the inspiration for this.

With that being said, here is my look and after are my thoughts on what I was sent for this look! :)

Enjoy!
