Halloween Series: Monster High’s Clawdeen Wolf as Little Dead Riding Wolf!
Hey True Believers!
Here it is, the last of the Halloween looks! I’ve been super excited about doing this version of Monster High’s Clawdeen Wolf as Little Dead Riding Wolf for you all! Clawdeen is my favorite doll in the series and the original version I did of her last year was so well received, that I felt a sequel was due this Halloween! I bought the doll above and thought she was so pretty and the idea of her as Little Red Riding Hood was so cute and clever, that I decided I wanted to be her for Halloween and do a makeup for you all!
I went with the makeup that was shown on the drawing of her because it was a little more interesting with the red on the border of the purple. I also altered the shape a little to fit my eye better. Of course I could have went TOTALLY cartoony with it, but I wanted to also make it a little more real world.
My ears were custom-made by my awesome friend Aubriana,The Mad Masker, who also loves the Monster High dolls as well (Lagoona is her favorite because she’s a huge fan of The Creature from the Black Lagoon
)! Go check out her work, she’s amazing and if you want, put in an order with her to make you something awesome!!
The wig was a hodge-podge of wig and hair pieces from Arda Wigs.
The teeth were custom-made and molded to my teeth by my friend Leo at Cavallero Fangs.
The contact lenses were the Vassen Hanabi Gold from Pinky Paradise.
The costume was made by myself and my mother, and I changed it a bit to make it more mine.
I hope you all like it!
Halloween Series: Persephone from Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief Movie!
Hey True Believers!
Today’s Halloween look is my recreation of Persephone from the Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief movie (Yay a sequel is coming August 2013!)! This movie is one of my favorite fun films (those films that you just enjoy for the fun factor and you’re not looking for anything deep in) and Rosario Dawson was GORGEOUS in this movie (and I LOOOVED how positively naughty she was lol)! I also have a fondness for the Greek goddess Persephone (I don’t know why, just love the whole idea of her!) and LOVED Rosario’s portrayal of her in the movie. When her husband Hades, god of the underworld, lets her back up on earth to visit her mother, it’s Spring and Summer, but when she has to return to him, it becomes Autumn/Fall and Winter. So right now, she’s in the underworld with him which makes it a perfect time to do a look based on her portrayal in the movie. I tried to get as close as I could to the look, so forgive me if it’s not identical! This look also was great for me to recreate because my skin tone is similar to Rosario’s.

Halloween Series: Selene/The Black Queen Inspired Look!
Hey True Believers!
I’m baaaaaaaaack! For the month of October, I’ll be doing Halloween looks for you to wear with your costumes this year! I won’t be doing any awesome special fx makeup like my friends over on YouTube, but I’ll be doing some more sexy/vampy/smoldery type looks based off of a few movie characters and a certain doll who I have a fondness for
(For a hint, take a look at one of last years Halloween looks on my blog!).
So to start things off, I wanted to do something vampy and sexy and thought Selene aka The Black Queen would be perfect! She was a villainess who was an X-Men foe and was basically a psychic vampire (she fed off the life force of others). She was a mutant and sorceress who also had the ability to raise the dead (See the Necrosha story line) along with many other abilities. She was the perfect villain to start the Halloween looks off with!
For the color of the eye, I pulled inspiration from the photo above, which has some black and red around the eye. I didn’t go with the black lip (I didn’t want it to read super goth, but you can totally do a black lip if you like!), but wanted to darken the corners a bit and use a deep dark red all over. I definitely wanted to do a dark, vampy, smokey eye with this because Selene just seethes darkness! It also allowed me to use the awesome Gaga lashes Faux sent me, so there will be a mini review on the lashes as well!
I hope you like!
