Hey True Believers!
Happy Halloween! Yeah I know it’s a little early, but Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday! I’m doing something different for you all this year and doing a couple of full face paint looks, starting with this lovely lady!
I introduce you to Killjoy! She’s a bad, bad lady and graces the pages of Cyber Force by the awesome Marc Silvestri and his company Top Cow Comics (Thank you Marc for sending me the pic above for reference! :D)
I LOOOVED how she looked in this image and wanted to recreate the makeup instantly. I originally did it in black and white, but I felt it fell a little flat so I did some shading in a tan tone to give it a little bit of depth, character and to almost give it a dirty look. I also love that her face isn’t symmetrical and I feel it gives it character (and also made my life easier since I have the worse time getting things to match evenly lol)
I’m not sure if I’ll get any videos up of my planned Halloween looks, but I won’t say I won’t for sure because I might change my mind or find time to make magic happen. Unfortunately I didn’t film this one, but the other ones I just might IF I get the time. I feel like it takes more time to record doing a makeup, than to just do it on the fly. (Plus because I use my Canon T2i to record, it makes it more difficult because of overheating :/) We’ll see!
I hope you all like the first of a few skully ladies I have planned for you!

Hey True Believers!
A few weeks ago I attended San Diego Comic Con (or SDCC for short) and had the pleasure to meet Marc Silvestri in person (He, his wife, and I have been twitter buddies for a few months now). Marc is freaking AWESOME and is the CEO and founder of Top Cow Productions (as well as an incredible artist!), which houses some of my most favorite comic books like Witchblade, Artifacts, The Angelus, The Magdelena, and The Darkness. Marc was kind enough to give me a few books and the book below which he signed for me (I would have posted a pic of the signed one, but my friend has it right now by accident lol).
I loved the colors so much, that I told him my next look would be a Darkness look, inspired by the colors of the cover of The Darkness #105 SDCC Exclusive Variant (above).
The Darkness a.k.a Jackie Estacado is a bearer of one of the mystical/supernatural artifacts in the Top Cow universe. His powers only work at night and during the day he’s usually a crime boss. So he’s kind of a bad guy with good guy tendencies every now and then; An anti-hero if you will. I focused on using his armored form and the spiky tendrils he makes when he kills people. (again, he’s a bad guy lol). He can also create “Darklings” out of his powers. They are little demon like creatures that also do his bidding. I went more artsy with this one as something more “wearable” didn’t seem to fit this one quite right.

I was catching up with Artifacts (by Top Cow) last night, and on the cover of issue #4 cover B was Glorianna Silver, bearer of the Ember Stone. It was such a cool picture that I got instant geekspiration (you like that? I just came up with that lol) and decided to do a look based on her from that cover today! I wanted to strike while the iron was still hot! (See what I did there? lol). I didn’t do a full face as, once again, as I was in a hurry. I hope you like it!
I’m really pleased with how this look came out. It looked so much like The Angelus’/Dani’s wings and I’m super excited to share it with you all! Sugarpill’s Burning Heart Palette is the star of this look again :). I really love the shadows because the colors are so pretty and pigmented and really pop. They’re awesome for comic book, anime, and video game looks!
Enjoy my lovelies!
I’m not really 100% happy with how this look came out. It was really hard to find shadows I had to match the colors in/of her armor. I didn’t want this look to go to waste (as it is pretty, but didn’t look quite like how I intended) so I decided to put it up anyway :P. Now that I’m thinking about it, I know EXACTLY what I should have used!! D’oh! >.< Hence this now being a Ver.1!
The red stones in her armor is represented with the lipstick I chose (since the red didn’t quite fit in with the shadows I used, I couldn’t put it in there) I also did a nail look to go along with this just for kicks! Hope you all like it!
